Description: This course is designed both for those who are new to Simply Accounting or for those who want to brush up on their skills. It covers all facets of Simply Accounting payroll from module setup to completion of the payroll cycle.
Note that the module teaches Simply Accounting payroll skills and not general bookkeeping payroll skills.
Prerequisites: Bookkeeping Experience; ** Registration Test May be Required **
Students should be able to answer the following questions prior to taking this course:
- What is the employer portion of payroll taxes?
- Can you name three taxable benefits provided by employers?
- Can you name three types of income that are taxable to employees?
- Can you provide a typical bookkeeping journal entry for a paycheque?
